Woofun AI reports that FLock.io’s case study on privacy-focused AI in healthcare has been featured in the World Economic Forum’s MINDS program. The initiative highlights the use of decentralized federated learning to allow medical institutions to train collaborative AI models without sharing sensitive data. FLock.io is partnering with UCLH and Moorfields Eye Hospital, both part of the UK National Health Service, to advance AI applications in diabetes blood sugar prediction and eye disease detection. The blood sugar prediction model was trained using data from over 400 patients, while the associated diabetes management application currently serves approximately 14,000 end users. The MINDS program, driven by the WEF’s Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence and Accenture, focuses on high-impact real-world AI applications.
