2026-07-15 15:55

Woofun AI reports that BitSong founder bitangel84 disclosed a security breach occurring on July 14. The incident involved Kostiantyn Pustovyi, who initiated contact via LinkedIn regarding a Web3 game collaboration. Under the guise of a remote interview, the attacker persuaded the founder to clone the project repository and execute 'yarn install'. This action triggered hidden obfuscation scripts that exfiltrated local environment variable keys to the attacker's server. The attacker subsequently requested wallet connections for game testing. The founder stated that the full extent of asset theft remains unassessed and investigation updates are pending.
