Woofun AI reports that Apple and Baidu have agreed to collaborate on developing artificial intelligence features specifically for Chinese iPhone users. Baidu is tasked with creating an AI-powered search function within the Apple Intelligence suite that processes images and text, alongside upgrading the system into a Chinese version of the Siri voice assistant. Evidence of this integration emerged on June 23 when overseas blogger One Jailbreak identified "Baidu Visual Search" in ExtensionKit during the disassembly of iOS 27 Beta 2 code.

Additionally, the Cyberspace Administration of China recently published filing information for seven mobile-side generative AI services, which included Apple Intelligence.
