Woofun AI reports that the Bean AI Smart Body Smartphone, a joint venture between ByteDance and ZTE Nubia, will see its total stockpile reduced to approximately 200,000 units. This adjustment stems from increased upstream component costs, lowering the initial plan of 300,000 units. The first batch will comprise fewer than 100,000 devices, with a model scheduled to debut at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference.
The predecessor, the Nubia M153 Technical Preview released on December 1, 2025, was limited to 30,000 units as an engineering prototype. It sold out immediately without restocking, driving secondary market prices to 7,999 yuan against an official price of 3,499 yuan. Supply chain sources note that spare parts inventory for the new generation initially exceeded one million units before the final production cut.
