Woofun AI reports that Circle has revealed the inaugural cohort of eight teams selected for its 2026 developer funding program. These groups are building applications on Arc, USDC, and Circle’s developer platform, with a focus on payments, foreign exchange, remittances, merchant payouts, and stablecoin-based banking in Africa and the Global South.

The selected entities include Blockradar, Kolan, Myaza, Arrel Technology, Payrit, ViFi Labs, SFX Money, and Flezpay. Their projects range from multi-chain wallets and AML infrastructure to dollar accounts for freelancers, payment aggregation across 21 African currencies, USDC payout tools for merchants, local currency settlement apps, stablecoin DEXs for emerging markets, USDC bank services for expatriates, and AI-driven real-time pricing QR code tools.
