In the first half of 2026, leveraged and inverse ETFs accounted for 31% of all new ETF issuances in the US, an increase from 22% for the full year of 2025. During June alone, 117 leveraged or inverse ETFs were listed, representing nearly half of all new US ETF launches for that month.
