Woofun AI reports that NVIDIA has expanded its collaboration in robot development by inviting eight leading Japanese industrial automation companies to join the NVIDIA-led Cosmos alliance. The new members include Fujitsu, Fanuc, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Yaskawa Electric, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Electric, Komatsu, and Kubota. This expansion supports the acceleration of NVIDIA’s platform adoption for "physical AI", a sector encompassing humanoid robots, factory automation, autonomous vehicles, smart buildings, and rail transit systems. Prior to this announcement, NVIDIA released new technologies to expedite robot development, including Cosmos 3-H, a lightweight foundation model for edge computing devices. The company also unveiled the Jetson T3000 and Jetson T2000 robot computers, positioned between the flagship T4000 series and the AGX Orin platform.
