Zano Zenith Upgrade Cuts Block Time to 15 Seconds in 2027

Woofun AI reports that privacy blockchain Zano has entered the implementation phase for Zenith, targeting a 2027 network transition to a pure Proof-of-Stake protocol. The upgrade aims to reduce block time from one minute to 15 seconds and lower required confirmations from 10 to 4-6 blocks, resulting in typical confirmation times of 60 to 90 seconds.

Co-founder Andrey Sabelnikov stated that Zenith leverages over 12 years of privacy research to retain user-expected protections while adopting modern PoS advantages. Upon activation, the daily issuance of 720 ZANO to PoW miners will cease, eliminating the annual supply increase of 262,800 tokens. An official forum has been launched for technical discussions.
