Zhipu ARR Surges 15x to $1B in Six Months

Woofun AI reports that Zhipu achieved $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by July 2026, marking a 15-fold increase over six months. The company progressed from $100 million to $1 billion ARR in five months, significantly faster than Anthropic’s 15-month trajectory. This growth occurred despite an 83% API price increase for GLM, as total call volume rose approximately 400%. Zhipu has not commented on the financial figures.

The revenue expansion is attributed to focused investments in coding and reasoning capabilities. In June, Zhipu released the open-source GLM-5.2 model, which matches or exceeds leading competitors on key metrics.

Meanwhile, global competition in AI coding intensifies, with MiniMax launching M3 and Dark Side of the Moon releasing the 2.8 trillion-parameter K3 model.
