Woofun AI reports that UDX, the exchange acquired by Underdog, self-certified seven sports event contract templates with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on July 15. The filing outlines plans to initiate the first batch of contract trading no later than July 17, though public trading commencement is not yet confirmed.
The certified templates include three baseball and three basketball contracts focusing on game winners, winning margins, and total points, alongside a broader template for athlete or team outcome markets. Each contract holds a notional value of $1 with prices ranging from $0.001 to $0.999. UDX indicated that trading will operate continuously except during maintenance, supported by at least one market maker. This follows Underdog's March acquisition of Aristotle Exchange DCM and its affiliated clearing organization, marking a shift from its previous role as an intermediary for federally registered venues.
