Woofun AI reports that OpenRouter has entered discussions with an undisclosed major technology firm regarding a potential acquisition valued in the billions. The AI model aggregation platform, which provides access to over 400 models via a single API, recently closed a $113 million funding round in May at a $1.3 billion valuation. The company recorded $50 million in annualized revenue in April, representing a fivefold increase from October last year, while weekly token processing volume jumped from 5 trillion to 25 trillion over six months.
