Woofun AI reports that Superseed, the lending protocol under CDP, will discontinue its independent Layer 2 network and migrate its entire ecosystem to the Ethereum mainnet. This strategic shift aims to secure direct access to Ethereum’s liquidity and Real World Asset (RWA) ecosystem, allowing engineering resources to concentrate solely on application development rather than blockchain infrastructure maintenance. The protocol’s core offerings include a native lending mechanism, the self-repaying stablecoin suprUSD, and Super Strategies, which utilizes protocol profits for loan repayments instead of relying on Layer 2 gas fees.
The Superseed L2 network is scheduled to go offline permanently on August 15. Users holding USDC, USDT, cbBTC, and ETH must execute cross-chain transfers prior to this deadline, as the platform cannot guarantee asset recovery for those who fail to comply. For SUPR token holders missing the cutoff, balances will be snapshot at shutdown, with native Ethereum SUPR tokens available for future claiming via dedicated contracts, subject to further announcements.
