FTX $900M Payout Launches as 6-Month Onboarding Deadline Looms

Woofun AI reports that FTX has scheduled a $900 million distribution for July 31, limited strictly to creditors who cleared the June 16 checks and completed onboarding with an available provider. The exchange notes that provider coverage is dynamic; if no provider services a specific jurisdiction, distributions are deferred until coverage is established. Creditors must monitor the FTX Customer Portal for updates and successfully onboard before payment occurs, with providers retaining final authority over onboarding decisions. Missing the June 16 cutoff excludes creditors from this round, though later coverage may enable future distributions subject to plan deadlines.

Creditors selecting a provider make an irrevocable choice, as distributions cannot be split and direct cash payments from FTX are forfeited in favor of provider-directed payments. Support inquiries regarding funds must be directed to the chosen provider. FTX’s dashboard FAQ warns that allowed-claim holders who fail to onboard within six months of July 31 may forfeit their distribution rights. Announced cumulative distribution percentages of 105% for Classes 5A/5B, 103% for Classes 6A/6B, and 120% for Class 7 reflect percentages of allowed plan claims, not gains against current crypto prices.
