Woofun AI reports that BlackRock is spearheading a debt financing package of at least $12 billion for Meta’s new data center in El Paso, Texas. BlackRock’s infrastructure and private credit divisions hold an 80% equity stake in the project, while Meta retains the remaining 20%. The facility is projected to have a capacity of approximately 1 gigawatt.
JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley are managing the debt issuance and engaging with potential investors. This structure mirrors Meta’s Louisiana data center, which is 80% owned by Blue Owl and supported by similar financing. BlackRock also supports Meta’s lease of an Aligned Data Centers project in Shippingport, Pennsylvania, following its $40 billion acquisition of Aligned and significant participation in the Louisiana deal.
