FTX Fifth Distribution Releases $900M on July 31, Excluding 45 Jurisdictions

Woofun AI reports that FTX will commence its fifth bankruptcy distribution round on July 31, allocating approximately $900 million to eligible creditors. Eligibility requires completion of claim verification, KYC, tax forms, and sanctions screening by June 16, alongside successful onboarding with BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer. Funds are expected to be credited within one to three business days following the start date.

Creditors residing in 45 jurisdictions, including China, Russia, Ukraine, Cuba, and Iran, are currently excluded due to a lack of available distribution service providers. FTX noted that while provider coverage may evolve, payments made on July 31 cannot be retroactively applied to newly included regions. Creditors failing to complete onboarding within six months of July 31 risk forfeiting their distribution rights. Current cumulative distribution ratios stand at 105% for categories 5A and 5B, 103% for 6A and 6B, and 120% for category 7, calculated against court-approved claim amounts rather than market value.
