Woofun AI reports that the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Secret Service's Washington Field Office announced the seizure of over $25 million in cryptocurrency assets. These assets are connected to an international fraud network targeting residents of the United States and Canada.

The operation was conducted by the joint cyber fraud task force and falls under the U.S. federal prosecutor's Fraud Center's Special Action Team. This team has recovered more than $800 million in assets related to fraud cases since 2025.
