This transaction took place 23 days after the CFTC announced its application to join Gemini in seeking an exemption from certain terms of the 2025 judgment. The CFTC previously noted that under current enforcement standards, complaints against Gemini would not be filed and described Gemini as a victim of fraud and changes in federal digital asset policy.
