Woofun AI data shows that the KOSPI index climbed over 5.6% to breach 7100 points on Wednesday, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix rising more than 6% and 7% respectively. This rally follows a period where the benchmark lost approximately $1.2 trillion in market value since June highs.

Morgan Stanley strategist Mixo Das indicated that the deleveraging of Korean leveraged ETF positions is roughly 75% complete. Data from the Korea Financial Investment Association reveals that investor financing balances dropped 13% from late-June peaks to 33.4 trillion Korean won ($26 billion) by July 16, marking the lowest level in three months.
