Woofun AI data shows that a survey of 1,400 US crypto traders conducted by OKX reveals approximately 70% are willing to allow AI to manage their investment portfolios without manual transaction review. This includes fully autonomous operations or automatic decision-making within self-set risk limits. Younger demographics demonstrate higher willingness to cede control, with 38% of Gen Z traders and 37% of Millennials expressing readiness to grant AI complete, unsupervised authority, compared to only 11% of Baby Boomers.
The survey indicates that 51% of respondents utilize AI tools for research or trading multiple times per week, while 77% have employed general-purpose chatbots to research crypto positions in the past three months. Real-time notifications and the ability to instantly revoke system permissions were identified as the most desired safeguards.
Furthermore, 79% of respondents stated they would consider switching exchanges if other platforms offered better AI tools. Regulatory bodies including the US SEC, FINRA, and state securities regulators have advised investors to verify platform registration information and remain cautious of promises regarding low risk and high returns.
