Woofun AI reports that Block has released Buzz, an open-source collaboration platform designed for both humans and AI agents. The system aims to merge team chat functionalities with code collaboration tools, offering features such as channels, direct messages, voice, media sharing, automated workflows, and Git hosting. AI agents operate as independent members with distinct identities and permissions, capable of sending messages, committing and reviewing code, and triggering workflows. The platform supports integration with Claude Code, Codex, and goose.
Built on the Nostr protocol, Buzz ensures that all messages, workflows, and Git operations are signed and recorded in a unified event log. Teams have the option to self-host the solution or utilize Block's hosted version, with the project licensed under Apache 2.0. While macOS, Windows, and Linux clients are available, the product remains in its early stages, with mobile versions and certain workflow approval features still under development.
