Woofun AI reports that AMD has finalized a multi-billion dollar AI server collaboration agreement with Anthropic. Beginning in the first half of 2027, Anthropic will acquire up to 2 exaflops of AMD's latest Instinct MI450 chips for its data centers, while also leasing computing power through major cloud providers or new entrants. Upon achieving specific deployment milestones, AMD is set to invest up to $5 billion in Anthropic, marking its inaugural investment in an AI-focused company. AMD's CEO stated, "We have long been eager to become a key partner in Anthropic's infrastructure, and the engineering teams of both companies have been collaborating for some time."
