Woofun AI reports that Moonshot AI has publicly contested statements by Michael Kratsios, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, regarding the development of the K3 model. Kratsios had alleged that Moonshot referenced Anthropic's Fable and established an internal platform for large-scale distillation of U.S. models.

In response, Moonshot AI team member Randy Xia pointed out that Fable was released on July 1, while K3 went live on July 15. He noted that completing research, distillation, training, and deployment within this 15-day window would constitute a "Guinness World Record," thereby refuting the feasibility of the alleged dependency.
