Woofun AI reports that Binance has entered a partnership with the nonprofit STOP THE TRAFFIK to improve its capacity to identify cryptocurrency activity associated with human trafficking and child exploitation. The exchange will obtain specialized intelligence, training, and insights from the UK organization’s Centre for Intelligence-Led Prevention to detect emerging criminal patterns and strengthen investigations into illicit flows. This collaboration includes intelligence sharing and staff training designed to enhance compliance and financial crime detection capabilities. The move follows recent scrutiny of Binance’s sanctions controls, including allegations in May regarding Iran-linked entities moving funds through the platform, which Binance denied as based on outdated information.
