Woofun AI data shows that since SpaceX’s mid-June public listing, short sellers have accumulated approximately $15.5 billion in paper profits as the share price declined below its $135 IPO level. The stock fell from a post-IPO high of $225.64, prompting increased bearish activity. Ortex co-founder Peter Hillerberg stated, "There are currently no signs that short sellers are taking profits on their SpaceX positions," adding that they are instead increasing short exposure. Approximately 360 million shares have been lent out, representing 56% of the float. Elon Musk previously warned that entities maintaining large long-term short positions face a low probability of survival.
