TYLsemi Secures $43M to Halve Custom AI Chip Costs
2026-07-24 09:12

Woofun AI reports that chip startup TYLsemi has closed a $43 million early-stage funding round and exited stealth mode. Matter Venture Partners led the investment in the company founded by two former Alphawave executives.

The firm intends to treat custom AI chips as modular components, supplying interconnects, power delivery, and memory while customers develop core computing modules. TYLsemi handles packaging and mass production, claiming this approach cuts development costs and cycles by up to 50%. No products have shipped yet; initial samples are slated for 2027, with customer chips projected for market release between 2029 and 2030.
