Synchronization times have decreased from roughly 5 hours to about 2 hours, while trimmed node storage requirements have dropped by approximately 1 TB.

The base/node v1.2.0 release on GitHub upgrades to Reth v2.3.0, which officially supports V2 snapshots and resolves synchronization issues for trimmed nodes starting from the genesis block. Node operators are required to update and migrate their databases to the v2 storage format before the mid-August deadline imposed by MDBX hard restrictions.
