Woofun AI reports that George Cottrell, an aide to UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage, received approximately $8.8 million in funding for his Polymarket account in October 2024. The capital originated from an OKX address, contributing roughly $7 million, and a ChangeNOW address, providing about $1.83 million. These funds were deployed almost immediately to place bets on Donald Trump winning the U.S. presidential election.

Subsequently, approximately $13 million in profits was transferred back to the originating OKX address, while $282,000 was sent to the ChangeNOW address. Cottrell was convicted of wire fraud in March 2017 for agreeing to launder proceeds from drug deals and had previously provided undeclared employee, security, and housing support to Farage.
