Woofun AI reports that several Bitcoin treasury companies are liquidating BTC holdings to repay debts or pivot toward AI data center operations amid falling stock prices. Satsuma Technology approved the sale of all 668 BTC for delisting, while The Smarter Web Company sold 178 BTC to repay convertible debts. Sequans Communications sold 1,025 BTC and plans to sell nearly 80% of its remaining holdings to pay off bonds, stating it will cease future purchases. Nakamoto sold approximately 284 BTC for $20 million in operational funds, with nearly 70% of its remaining 5,342 BTC used as collateral at Kraken.
Mining firms Bitdeer Technologies and MARA Holdings are also selling BTC to fund buybacks, repay debt, and redirect infrastructure to AI. Strategy recently sold around 3,620 BTC but remains the largest holder with over 840,000 BTC. CEO Michael Saylor noted potential future sales for dividends but affirmed continued investment. Management changes include Jack Mallers stepping down as CEO and Adam Back’s Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company failing to complete a merger due to market conditions.
