TrendForce stated at a recent forum that the global wafer foundry sector will experience full capacity and price hikes for advanced processes in 2026.

The agency noted that mature processes, including 8-inch and 12-inch wafers, will see improved utilization and higher prices due to shifting supply-demand dynamics. Consequently, the global wafer foundry industry’s output value is projected to rise by mid-20% in 2026, reaching a new record high.
