Pork Prices Hit Two-Month Lows, Recovery Expected in Q4
2026-06-26 08:06

Woofun AI data shows that live pig prices reached new lows on June 25, with "outer three-way breed" falling to 9.51 yuan per kilogram and "inner three-way breed" holding at 9.82 yuan. These figures represent the lowest levels seen in nearly two months, driven by traditional consumption off-seasons.

Yin Weihua, a researcher at the National Information Center under the National Development and Reform Commission, noted that the ten-month breeding cycle links sow inventory changes to market supply. Considering current reductions in breeding sows and seasonal consumption patterns, pork prices are expected to fluctuate at low levels in the short term, with a trend toward stabilization and recovery likely emerging in the fourth quarter.
