Bitget Wallet announced on Tuesday the full integration of the xStocks infrastructure, a move designed to provide its 90 million user base with direct access to over 130 tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds via its self-custodial platform. This strategic expansion elevates the wallet's total tokenized real-world asset (RWA) catalog to more than 300 distinct products, encompassing equities, commodities, precious metals, and index-linked instruments. The company highlighted that its tokenized equity offerings have already facilitated more than $30 billion in transaction volume since their initial launch in 2025, underscoring significant user adoption despite geographic restrictions that exclude the United States, United Kingdom, and other regulated jurisdictions. Woofun AI reports that the technical implementation supports both request-for-quote (RFQ) and automated-market-maker (AMM) liquidity models, enabling users to execute trades with zero trading fees and gasless execution while maintaining full custody of private keys.
The operational landscape for these assets has shifted significantly following the acquisition of Backed Finance by Payward, the parent company of Kraken, in late 2025. Payward now operates the xStocks platform, bringing institutional-grade infrastructure to the broader crypto ecosystem. Users can now interact with tokenized equities and other RWAs through the same unified interface previously dedicated to cryptocurrency trading, swaps, and storage, eliminating the need for fragmented workflows. This integration represents a critical step in bridging traditional finance with decentralized custody, allowing retail and institutional participants to manage diverse asset classes without relinquishing control of their funds. Woofun AI notes that this convergence of interfaces is a key driver for the rapid expansion of tokenized equity offerings across major exchanges.
The broader market context reveals an accelerating trend among crypto exchanges to deploy stock-linked derivatives and tokenized equity products. In March, Coinbase introduced stock perpetual futures for international users, providing leveraged 24/7 exposure to publicly traded US equities through its derivatives platform.
Concurrently, Kraken expanded its xStocks business by launching bundled crypto-and-equity investment products and tokenized equity perpetual futures specifically for non-US markets. Binance, which previously shuttered its stock token business in 2021 following regulatory scrutiny in Europe, indicated earlier this year that it is exploring a return to the tokenized equities sector, signaling a potential resurgence of interest from major centralized players.
Market data compiled by RWA.xyz indicates that the tokenized equities sector has grown to nearly $1.5 billion in total value, with prominent assets linked to companies such as Circle, Nvidia, Tesla, Alphabet, and Strategy leading the charge. Ondo currently stands as the largest tokenized stocks platform by represented asset value at approximately $883 million, followed by xStocks with roughly $391.5 million in assets. Several specific xStocks products tied to Strategy, Tesla, Nvidia, and the S&P 500 index rank among the largest tokenized equity assets tracked within the sector. Woofun AI analysis suggests that as liquidity models mature and regulatory frameworks clarify, the integration of these assets into self-custodial wallets will likely become a standard feature for next-generation financial platforms.
