Per Woofun AI, OpenAI has disclosed a comprehensive expansion of its cybersecurity initiative, Daybreak, centered on the deployment of the dedicated defense model GPT-5.5-Cyber. This new architecture establishes record-high performance in multiple cybersecurity benchmark tests, surpassing both the previous GPT-5.5 iteration at 81.8% and competitor Mythos 5 at 83.8%, thereby significantly enhancing the precision of vulnerability scanning and automated patch generation.

Concurrently, the updated Codex Security plugin has been deeply embedded into developer workflows to enable fully automated codebase scanning, threat modeling, and remediation. OpenAI has also initiated an exclusive partner program for compliant security service providers and launched the 'Patch the Planet' initiative alongside Trail of Bits to assist over 30 foundational open-source projects, including Python and Go, in implementing critical fixes.

Furthermore, the company revealed ongoing deep cooperation with governments from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan to bolster the cybersecurity resilience of global critical infrastructure.
