Woofun AI reports that the Thai Department of Special Investigation has issued an arrest warrant for Chinese businessman Wang Yicheng. He is accused of participating in a criminal organization that utilized illegal cryptocurrency mining to launder money derived from fraud and online gambling.

Wang, a former leader of the Thai-Chinese Trade Association, was identified by a 2023 Reuters investigation as linked to wallets receiving millions of dollars from fraudulent activities. Charged with theft and Computer Crimes Act violations in November last year, he is believed to have fled Thailand. Authorities are collaborating with international partners to locate him and have also issued warrants for four unnamed Chinese individuals and four Burmese individuals.
