The initial cohort comprises approximately 30 senior engineers focused on securing BEOL technologies for high-value memory solutions like HBM4 and optimizing supply chain management. BEOL involves forming metal wiring in later semiconductor manufacturing stages to connect wafer components. This organizational move supports HBM4 production, which launched earlier this year with 2048 I/O ports, necessitating denser wiring and higher etching precision due to increased port density.
