Woofun AI reports that U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have registered net inflows for a second consecutive week, a development tracked by SoSoValue and BRN that has sparked cautious optimism despite persistent market skepticism regarding the scale of capital movement.
The recent financial data reveals a modest recovery trajectory, with last week’s net inflows totaling $75.67 million, following a stronger $197.4 million injection the prior week. These figures stand in stark contrast to the preceding eight straight weeks of net outflows, which aggregated to more than $8 billion, representing one of the most severe withdrawal periods in the funds’ history. Data shows that the combined net inflows over this two-week span barely exceeded the smallest weekly net outflow recorded during that previous stretch, which stood at $226.84 million.
This comparative analysis indicates that while selling pressure has visibly eased, buying demand has not yet surged to levels indicative of a structural shift in institutional sentiment. The current volume suggests a tentative stabilization rather than a decisive reversal, as the magnitude of new capital remains insufficient to offset the historical weight of recent withdrawals.
Per Woofun AI, digital asset research firm BRN emphasized that ETF flows must serve as the primary metric for assessing market health. BRN noted that a net inflow trend would need to persist for several weeks before it could be reliably interpreted as a signal of structural re-entry by institutional capital, distinguishing temporary fluctuations from genuine strategic positioning.
While the pause in outflows offers some relief to Bitcoin holders, the data does not yet substantiate claims that large-scale institutional investors are returning in force. Although this two-week streak supports Bitcoin’s price stability, it does not guarantee a sustained recovery, as institutional demand remains a critical driver of Bitcoin’s long-term price trajectory. Market participants are likely entering a wait-and-see phase, closely monitoring whether a third consecutive week of inflows will emerge to confirm a shift in sentiment or if a return to outflows will reinforce the view that the market lacks a clear directional consensus.
