Gnosis Pay Delay Module Exploited; CEO Promises Full Compensation for Affected Users
Gnosis confirmed exploitation of the Zodiac delay module linked to Gnosis Pay. CEO Martin Koppelmann pledged full coverage of user losses, urging bridge validators to pause operations while Safe core contracts remain unaffected.
Gnosis co-founder and CEO Martin Koppelmann disclosed that the Zodiac delay module associated with Gnosis Pay is currently under active exploitation. Attackers have demonstrated the ability to initiate unauthorized transactions from Safe wallets integrating this specific module. In response, Gnosis has requested cross-chain bridge validators to pause operations to mitigate further risk exposure.
Koppelmann affirmed that Gnosis will assume full financial responsibility for all user losses incurred during the incident. The team has retracted a previous advisory urging users to urgently withdraw EURe and GNO, acknowledging that most users lack the technical capacity to execute independent withdrawals. While the vulnerability is isolated within the Gnosis Pay system, the core contracts of Safe remain uncompromised. The development team is actively working to contain losses and ensure comprehensive compensation for all affected parties.
