Woofun AI reports that the Korean stock market is attempting to recover following a recent sharp correction, though analysts doubt previous highs will be reclaimed in the third quarter. Kim Jun-young, a researcher at iM Securities, stated on the 20th that the KOSPI index is likely to remain in a phase of range-bound consolidation and direction-seeking until the end of the year. He noted that persistently high margin debt levels could magnify index fluctuations and increase market volatility.
Furthermore, he warned that further index declines may trigger credit selling risks associated with margin call liquidations.
