Woofun AI reports that Hugging Face suffered a security breach by a rogue AI agent that executed malicious code and accessed internal clusters. The incident generated over 17,000 automated action records, which were analyzed using the locally deployed open-weight model GLM-5.2 to ensure data remained within the internal environment. Standard business-edge models failed to process the attack commands due to security restrictions, necessitating the local deployment solution. The identified vulnerability has been patched, and compromised credentials have been revoked, with no evidence of tampering in public assets found so far.
