Woofun AI reports that UK-based AI startup CuspAI has secured nearly $500 million in financing to leverage artificial intelligence for optimizing advanced semiconductor production. The company announced the creation of the AI Materials Foundry Alliance, uniting over 48 technology giants, industrial entities, and research institutions such as Nvidia, Meta, and Hyundai Motor Group.
The alliance intends to pool member computing power and research capabilities to co-develop AI software. This initiative aims to enable researchers to identify new materials for chip manufacturing and other sectors more rapidly and cost-effectively, thereby enhancing material research efficiency and accelerating innovation in the advanced semiconductor industry.
