SK Hynix CEO Choi Tae-yoon urges South Korea to become an 'AI-native' country, aiming for universal AI agent access and reduced costs via chip production and data center expansion.

Woofun AI reports that Choi Tae-yoon, CEO of SK Hynix, stated South Korea must transform into an "AI-native country" with the objective of ensuring every individual possesses at least one AI agent. He indicated that achieving this would position the nation as a global testing ground for AI technology experimentation and application.

Choi emphasized that SK Group will support AI development through sustained R&D investment. He highlighted the necessity of reducing AI costs, which he described as currently excessive, to enable broader global benefit. Strategies proposed include expanding memory chip production and constructing additional AI data centers to establish a global hub linking the United States, Europe, and Asia.
