SK Group Chairman Urges South Korea to Become AI-Native Nation
SK Group leader calls for national AI transformation, aiming for universal avatars and lower costs via semiconductor expansion and data center hubs.
Woofun AI reports that SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won stated South Korea must evolve into an "AI-first country," with the specific objective of providing every citizen with at least one AI avatar. He indicated that achieving this would position the nation as a global AI testbed for technology experimentation and application.
Choi Tae-won emphasized the necessity of reducing high AI costs through expanded semiconductor production and the construction of additional AI data centers. He proposed establishing a global AI data center hub in South Korea to connect the United States, Europe, and Asia, while noting SK Group will support this through continuous R&D investment.
