Forma Shuts Down Blockchain Network, Migrating Assets to Ethereum Mainnet
Forma halts its blockchain due to sustainability issues, initiating a full migration of NFTs and funds to Ethereum. Users must withdraw assets via bridge before manual transfer.
Woofun AI reports that NFT platform Forma has announced the cessation of its independent blockchain operations, citing unsustainable maintenance costs. The project will migrate the Modularium platform and associated NFTs to the Ethereum mainnet to preserve artwork accessibility and trading viability. Upon completion, assets will be tradeable on Ethereum-based marketplaces like OpenSea, while Modularium continues as a display interface. Users are urged to withdraw on-chain funds via the Forma Bridge immediately; unwithdrawn assets will be manually migrated by the team to an EVM-compatible chain. Forma asserts that all user funds and NFT assets remain secure, with a detailed migration timeline to be released later.
