CXMT Revenue Jumps 719% YoY as Global DRAM Share Hits 8%
ChangXin Memory Technologies posted a 719% revenue surge to 50.8 billion RMB in Q1, driven by capacity gaps left by major competitors shifting to AI memory.
Woofun AI reports that ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) saw its global DRAM market share climb from under 4% to roughly 7.7%-8% over the past year. First-quarter revenue surged 719% year-over-year to 50.8 billion RMB, capitalizing on supply voids in DDR5 and LPDDR5 markets as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron redirected capacity toward AI server memory.
Despite this growth, CXMT’s monthly wafer output of 290,000 to 320,000 units remains significantly below Samsung’s 630,000 and SK Hynix’s 500,000. US export restrictions on advanced lithography equipment further constrain expansion, limiting short-term entry into the HBM market. Consequently, major incumbents retain dominance in high-margin segments, suggesting the global memory shortage cycle may persist.
