Microsoft CEO Nadella: U.S. AI Ecosystem Trust Ensures Global Competitiveness

Woofun AI reports that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated confidence in U.S. AI technology and its training ecosystem will maintain American competitiveness against Chinese products. He emphasized that the U.S. strengthens its digital industry through ecosystem approaches, noting that many Chinese models operate on U.S.-based hyperscale cloud providers globally. Nadella explained that because Chinese models utilize open weights, U.S. companies can monitor, test, and perform post-training on them.

He argued that America’s competitive advantage lies in fostering a technical ecosystem accessible to other nations while building trust through effective management. Microsoft holds approximately 27% of shares in OpenAI. U.S. AI firms face intensifying competition from China; DeepSeek triggered a $1 trillion sell-off in tech stocks last year, while Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3, launched in July, has drawn attention for its coding, inference, and knowledge work capabilities.
