ESMA MiCA Registry Expands by 15 CASPs to 309 Total

Woofun AI reports that the European Securities and Markets Authority updated its provisional MiCA registry on Friday, incorporating 15 new licensed crypto asset service providers. This addition raises the total number of registered entities to 309. The latest batch includes BNY SA/NV, a Belgian subsidiary of BNY Mellon, alongside platforms such as BitPay, Coinify, and Bleap. Four banking institutions were added, with three originating from Germany. Geographically, Germany and Denmark each contributed three new providers, while Bulgaria and Latvia added two each. Belgium, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, and the Netherlands each added one provider. ESMA confirmed that this update did not affect other registries, including those for asset-referenced tokens (ARTs), e-money tokens (EMTs), authorized issuers of crypto assets, and the list of non-compliant entities.
