Issued by TG Commodities, S.A. de C.V., each XAU₮ token represents direct ownership of physical gold held in Swiss vaults. The certification criteria mandate genuine physical gold ownership, verifiable asset backing, prohibition of interest (riba), exclusion of leverage or speculative derivatives, and transparent reserve structures. Tether indicated that XAU₮ can facilitate the integration of digital gold into Islamic banking, takaful, and halal savings products, as well as long-term wealth preservation and tokenized trade finance.
