AI Trading Agents May Outnumber Humans in Two Years as Nansen Restructures Platform
Nansen CEO predicts AI agents will surpass human traders within two years. The platform is pivoting to enable direct on-chain trading, having already processed $500M in volume across crypto and RWA assets.
Woofun AI reports that Alex Svanevik, CEO of on-chain data platform Nansen, stated that the number of AI trading agents is expected to exceed human traders within approximately two years. Consequently, Nansen is restructuring its platform from a pure analytics tool into one that enables direct trading, allowing agents to trade all on-chain assets. To date, this functionality has accumulated over $500 million in trading volume.
Svanevik noted that among the top 15 perpetual contracts by trading volume on Nansen, about 10 are non-crypto assets, including SpaceX, the S&P 500 index, gold, and crude oil. Following backtesting and paper trading phases, Nansen plans to deploy more autonomous trading agents to reduce inference costs and mitigate input poisoning risks.
