MoonPay Launches PayBox for AI Crypto Transactions with x402 Support

MoonPay introduces PayBox, enabling ChatGPT and Claude users to authorize AI-driven crypto trades via passkeys. The vault supports x402 protocol and multi-chain transfers while securing keys.

Woofun AI reports that MoonPay has launched PayBox, a payment vault allowing users of ChatGPT and Claude to authorize AI agents for cryptocurrency purchases, token swaps, and cross-chain transfers. Users retain fund control by approving transactions via passkeys or setting automated spending limits. The system employs multi-party computation and trusted execution environments to safeguard wallet keys from unauthorized access by the AI or MoonPay. PayBox integrates with multiple blockchains and payment methods including debit cards, bank accounts, Apple Pay, and PayPal, offering an SDK for developer integration.

Additionally, it supports the x402 open payment protocol, which processed over 12.7 million transactions in the past 30 days.
