Six Protocols Generate $726M Revenue in H1 2026, Yet Token Holder Net Inflow Remains Negative
Top six protocols earned $726M in first half of 2026. Despite buybacks and burns, net value inflow for holders turned negative due to issuance and unlocks.
Woofun AI data shows that six major crypto protocols, including Aave, Hyperliquid, PumpFun, and Uniswap, collectively generated approximately $726 million in revenue during the first half of 2026. Although total industry revenue reached $7.42 billion since the start of the year, most token prices have not reflected underlying protocol fundamentals.
The analysis reveals that net value inflow for token holders turned negative for some projects after accounting for token issuance, unlocks, and incentives. For instance, Hyperliquid burned over 47 million HYPE tokens, and PUMP executed buybacks exceeding $315 million, yet the token price remains down roughly 60% from its issuance level. The report emphasizes that protocol revenue does not automatically translate into token value, urging investors to consider value return mechanisms, unlock pressure, and equity structures.
