Meituan LongCat Core AI Team Leaders Pei Peng and Su Hui Resign

Key figures Pei Peng and Su Hui depart Meituan's LongCat project, exiting pre-training and alignment roles respectively after leading the development of the company's foundational text models.

Woofun AI reports that Pei Peng, the former multimodal lead for Meituan's LongCat text-based model, has confirmed his resignation and ceased involvement in team decisions. Su Hui, the lead training officer responsible for alignment and reinforcement learning, has also departed to join another top-tier technology firm. Peng previously oversaw pre-training and drove LongCat 2.0 development, while Hui managed the Beam project under the Agent initiative. Meituan had previously denied Peng's departure on July 27.
